Lay Organization 2012 Election
Dear Laity:
The 2012 Lay Organization’s elections will convene
All Offices Are Vacant:
President
1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President, 3rd Vice President
Treasurer
Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Assistant Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary
Chaplain, Historiographer, Parliamentarian
Director of Lay Activities, Eastern District Coordinator, Western District Coordinator
Director of Youth Activities, Director of Public Relations
Voting Ability Article
All persons seeking the various offices must submit a letter of intent to the Chairpersons of the Nominating Committee no later than 21 days prior to April 21st. The Nominating Committee will notify the Conference at least 10 days prior to April 21st the names of the prospective candidates. Candidates not filing within the prescribed time frames will be deemed ineligible to run for the offices of President, 1st Vice President and Treasurer.
Candidates for President, 1st Vice President and Treasurer cannot be nominated from the floor.
In order to be eligible to vote, one must be a paid up member by March 15th. Each candidate must be certified to be eligible by the Credential’s Committee. Each candidate must have attended at least (4) four WNCC meetings in the past (2) two years.
Who and How Many Delegates?
Each local church that has a Lay Organization in good standing may send (6) six delegates, one of which must be a youth between the ages of 18-30. The local president is automatically eligible for a total of (7) seven.
